After graduating from private school, Margo returns to her hometown in Arizona to work before starting college. As she settles into her summer internship working at the social services department of a veterans home, supernatural events start to happen around her. A series of strange dreams lead her to an occult puzzle involving her own soul.

Our Process

To match the art style, mood and themes from the game, the dev made me a reference playlist for each character, reflecting their personalities in different shades of 90's alternative rock music.

Beeing in a band that references the 90's sound a lot, Grunge, Shoegaze, Indie and Goth were all already part of my musical vocabulary, making it easier to get the characters pesonalities based on their sound tastes.

With the exception of a few piano pieces and horror atmospheres, the sountrack was very rock oriented, leading to a lot of recording sessions at my home studio for bass and both acoustic and eletric guitar tracks, mostly recorded by myself.

I wrote the songs to sound like local garage bands that the characters would listen to, rather than the "sountrack version" of an underground band and to maintain the aesthetical tone authentic & raw, we intentionally kept the overall mixes dirty and lo-fi, specially on the Negative and Horror tracks, where it gets really unsetling and distorted.

All tracks have a character motif arranged to the mood of the scene, beeing Positive, Neutral, Negative or my favorite renditions of the themes, the Romantic tracks. Even beeing a horror visual-novel, it also has dating sim elements, wich gave me the opportunity to combine the motifs of the protagonist with each of the love interests motifs, resulting in two very distinct love themes, Clara's beeing more piano based and mellow & Bec's beeing a more "rocker with a soft side" acoustic deal.

Special thanks to Lucas Manieri and Humberto Malynowskyj for recording, respectively, guitar and bass on a few tracks!
